Angry Help, stock bushing won't come out. I need an answer now, please

I can't get the stock shifter bushings out.

I've tried a screwdriver and needle nose pliers, nothing works. All I do is break off rubber.

How do I get them out? Help. The car is still sitting in the basement.......

Aspen_2.5RS

Also does the new shifter just press right back in ?

Thanks.....please respond fast

keep at it sometimes they are a beeeeaoooootch, just rip it apart if you have to, spray down with some wd-40 that might help or it might just make it to slippery to handle try and lube just the outside of the bushing to get it out..

new bushings are two piece's press them in as far as you can and tightening the bolt will do the rest

Look there for more info. should take less than 2 min to get the bushing out. put the stud to the outside of the bushing and push in. It will just pop out.
