Default Helix tmic or Stocker + alky

I'm planning on upgrading the turbo to a vf-34 or 22 or momentum 40t. I haven't really decided yet.

Here's what I'm considering

-helix tmic, sti scoop and splitter.
pros- proven effective and reliable
cons- I don't want to have to go to an sti scoop, maybe I don't have to? I don't know

-stock tmic, stock scoop, samco ic hoses, alky injection
pros- I prefer the look of the stock scoop (sleeper), alky would be neat'o
cons- I'm not sure it would be as effective or as reliable as the helix tmic. I don't know

Price wise, it seems close. The helix seems like its the safer, and probably better route to go. But water/alchohol injections is a little more unique and interesting. To me anyways.

I say go for the helix tmic, sti hood scoop, splitter, and alky. I have the alky with stock tmic etc and was really limited by the stock intercooler when I had my protune. The stoce intercooler with the alky will not allow you to get the most hp out of the alky. I do recommend steve at SMC, excellent customer service.

Let us know what you decide.

By the way what em are you using?

The JDM sti scoop does is not a juge difference, just a little bigger. It does really improve the front end though, definatly recomended

yeah I was surprised at how my sti scoop looked I thought it would be really obvious, but it's very subtle. It's no where near as huge as the us sti scoop for 04-05. I would get the larger top mount now and if you don't have the extra cash now get the WI later you will not get the best out of the setup untill you have the cooling power of the larger IC.
