VSS questions.

i'm finishing a swap on this 98 rs auto. we swapped in a complete 02 drivetrain including manual transmission conversion. last thing left to do is hookup the speed sensor.

we sold the original drivetrain so we can't use the stock speed sensor. the stock sensor is a 2 wire plug and the wrx is a 3 wire.

can i use a vss from a 99 auto in this 02 manual trans? i know it will work electrically, but i'm wondering if the mechanicals are the same?

yup, it should work.

used a 93 legacy turbo auto sensor in 99 rs manual tranny..

should be interchangeable.

the 93 legacy turbo had an electronic vss, not a mechanical speedo?
