Definately a good deal. Keep in mind however that those wheels weigh closer to 19 pounds rather than 15 according to the research I did. I think 15 pounds is closer to a 15 inch wheel in this case.

The weight numbers are posted by Enkei, and are just being echo'ed by edge-racing no doubt. I'd definitely check the Enkei website and double-check the numbers.

I had a set of RPF1's on my old 04 WRX (17x7.5) and they weighed exactly 15.2lbs (used a good digital scale), as advertised by Enkei and so I'd tend to believe that their other offerings are likely to be accurately advertised as well.

<--- just my .02 as a former owner of Enkei wheels.

Whoa, I saw this and had to step in. I just ordered a set of these a week ago, just the rims. It came out a little over $400 shipped. The package itself came in weighing in at 18lbs. They reall package it good. Now from past experience I have shipped out stock WRX rims and with packaging it's come out to 20lbs! So I am pretty sure these rims are under 19lbs most definitely. Maybe if I get off my lazy butt later I'll go weigh them on the highly acurate scale in the bathroom

Ok the wheel weight charts I found indicated an RPO-2... Could it be I'm confusing this as the same wheel as the RP-02? Every site I've found indicates the wheel weighs around 19 at this size.

Since it appears to be a discontinued wheel, it looks like Enkei no longer has the info on their website.

Seems after doing a search most people on nasioc say it's in the 15 pounds range, but wheelweights.net and such says 19.... Oi vey!

...a little off-topic but I went to these guys for my last set of tires. They have good prices and are quite friendly on the phone.

I recall an earlier version of this wheel and perhaps that's the reference you're finding. This one is called the RPO2-J, to be more precise. I know a guy locally who autox'es them on a G35 and he has also said they were very light for the size.

My memory ain't perfect, but I am pretty sure there was an earlier version of an 'RPO' -named rim from Enkei, it looked similar, but not identical (and I'm not referring to the RS-5). My guess is that that earlier version wasn't made with their more current 'rim-rolling' process or whatever they call it that makes their wheels light. And wheelweights sometimes doesn't get updated for eons and thus could still be referencing this prior design perhaps? Just my theory.

I used to have an Enkei catalog too... I tried to dig for it, couldn't find it. But yeah, I went back to their site and you're right, the wheel is no longer listed. .. bummer (and hence the close-out special on them...)

I would still believe the quoted figures though b/c when I was shopping for my RPF1's back in '04, I looked at RPO2-J's as well and almost got them b/c they were just as light, but much less pricey. In the end though, I just loved the RPF1's 'look' better... I grew up on 5-spoke rims and just wanted 'different' for a change

There is indeed a difference between the run-of-the-mill Enkei line and their 'Racing' line... the latter are usually much lighter than the former and are made with Enkei's more advanced processes. And IMHO, they look better

+1 for Enkei!, affordable + light + durable ... a true rarity in the 'bargain' wheels segment
