Default Subaru road kit

Got my subaru road kit today from the test drive promotion in december. I thought it is a pretty cool setup with a nice case and all. It's too bad they did this during winter as I was really excited about testing an 06 wrx but between it being winter and the RE92's it was not a stellar drive. Sigh.

I was really interested in the car so wanted to dive into corners and launch out of them. I can play anytime with the RS.

Default Just got mine in the mail last week

They best part is the tire gauge and the bright LED on the "leatherman" like tool- the multipurpose one.

Got mine a while back - the tire gauge looks a bit used, but overall a pretty good kit

Anyone get the tire pressure guage to work, I went to use mine for the first time today, pulled it out of the glove box and nothing. Put the batteries on a meter and they both read better than 1.4v. Sigh

To make the tire gauge work, you have to turn it on....There is a small button near the tip...press it once and the LED lights up...you are ready to go. I thought the whole package was pretty neat...Specially liked the little multitool with the light in it

I knew about the button, no red light though. Tried just pressing it, holding it down, pressing while on the valve stem, holding while on the valve stem. Nothing with all of them. Sigh, must have a dud.

Try pushing it in with the tip of a pen or something...mine is very hard to turn on, but it does work...I usually use a valve cap to press on it.

Ok, figured it out, there are two batteries (357) in the end cap that you need a tiny screwdriver to get off. There are also two more batteries of the same type inside the unit. Took the thing to pieces and changed those now everything is ok. Was a bit finicky but not too bad. Crappy design that only lets you easily change two of the four batteries.

Mine never worked as well... didn't know about the batteries inside the unit. Looked very poorly made overall, but the leatherman was excellent...
