Default FS: 2002 PSM WRX 2.5 liter VF22, many upgrades (Guaging interest)

I'm putting the feelers out on whether or not to repair the tranny or sell my WRX. 2nd gear is no longer..

2002 PSM WRX 60K (only ~3k on 2.5 liter motor, clutch/flywheel)

UTEC, VF22, STI pinks, colder plugs, BPM top mount, godspeed catless uppipe, Stromung turbo back exhaust with high flow cat in DP, KYB front struts, STI strut tower brace, TXS Shorty intake, perrin fuel rails, TXS BOV, UR crank pulley, 2.5 liter Shortblock with new motor and tranny mounts, CC chambered and flow tested heads, Exedy organic clutch and resurfaced flywheel, 17x17.5 rota battles (steel gray) with nitto rubber, STI hoodscoop, A pillar boost and egt guages (defi), perrin 02 simulator

body is mint, never even bumped, always kept clean and waxed, looks stock, have all paperwork. always garaged or covered during winter. pulled 350lbs/torque at a conservative 16psi on pump gas
i have no idea on the value of this car, i plan to upgrade to RA SE gears with new bearings and sychros

Let me know if you are going to part it out. Lots of mods I'd take off your hands.

If you keep the car, upgrade the tranny. Ypu could get a dog-box, type RA or stock STI trany instead of repairing the stock 5spd, and they'll all be able to put up with the power better.

BTW, how did you crank out so much more torque than HP? I've seen 20 hp differences from TQ but never 70

And how hard did you launch it to break 2nd??

i'm not parting it out, RA gears are what i had planned, tourque is courtesy of the 2.5 liter shortblock, tranny took some shock downshifting from 3rd to 2nd - nothing i haven't done before, but that night 2nd wasn't having anything to do with it

my advice if you keep the car is to go STi 6speed.... cause the RAs wont hold the power forever and the 6speed will hold double what you make

If you keep the car don't bother with the RA's. FOr the same price as the RA's you could get PPG 1st and 2nd gears, which will handle all that tq easily. When I break my RA gears I'll def. do PPG's.

have any recommendations as to where to purchase these PPG gears for the SAME price as RA gears??? I saw a post in the vendor for sale section for PPG 1st/2nd gearset for $2k and 1st-4th gearset for $3500. Gruppe-S has the RA gearsets for $1399...
