I love mine (thanks gtguy).
It did get a little annoying when I was out in nature with the windows down and creeping along at 1400RPM over bumpy terrain but for those times when I floor it (every stop sign, red light, you name it) it is VERY MUCH worth it. I love it! Sounds great! |

I had the same muffler that remarcable has (hell, he BOUGHT it from me). A cop never even looked at me twice, though one did tell me that my car sounded great.
The Stromung changes the frequency of the boxer, but it isn't loud, like those grapefruit shooters that the young'uns strap under their cars. It's a deep sort of rumble. You'll be fine. Kevin |

I have driven by mounted officers (horses and bikes) and they have not given me a second glance.
This is not loud enough to set off car alarms or piss off anybody except for maybe the elderly. Oh, I have gotten a few angry looks when passing through the horse district of town (dirt road + shorter distance = fun) but they usually aren't thrilled with anybody coming through there unless you driving a horse. |

I could indeed set off alarms with the Stromung. Try the idle roll-by, and listen to 'em chirp. It's pretty cool.
Yes myk, I'm beginning the process of returning the Legacy to stock. I'll be putting the stock suspension on just before I head off for France, unless the car arrives before then. Luckily, I kept all the stock parts. The brakes will stay however, so somebody will be getting one hell of a brake setup on a station wagon! Kevin |

Hmmm gtguy I don't think my setup will sound them at idle.
I do have an auto though, haven't tried locking it in first and revving while passing alarm'd cars yet. I do know that I have been going outside at 3AM every morning and turning the car on.. and turning it off though. My upstairs neighbor has gotten the point and now is much quieter when he comes home at 1AM every morning. |
