Default So my friends sister heard rumors of a new rule cops have to use......

My friends sister works for the city and she heard rumor that on the 24th cops are going to be cracking down in Orange County until we are out of debt since we are so deep in it. Officers are going to be aloud to give tickets to people going any speed over the speed limit no matter what and they are cracking down hard! She said she heard they are specifically cracking down on speeding so we might now have to worry about our modded cars and just being harassed by dick head cops for exhaust.

I do not know if anyone else has heard anything about this but just a heads up to watch out and if anyone else has anymore info on this please let us know.

....but we all know how these rumors spread and eventually morph into new ones.

No offense, but this is simply hearsay. .....even it is from a reputable source such as SoB's friend's sister who works for the city.

Yeah, also watch out for these prototype cops...

Actually I just captured this encapsulated email packet using my trusty network sniffer at the CHP headquarters in Sacramento...

Warning!

Starting Thursday, January 19, the CHP will be testing new super soldier police officers as a part of a nationwide government testing program. Apparently, the biological studies department at UCLA (Langley division) has been developing these super soldiers (SS) for the past 25 years and they are now ready for testing. The only logical method of testing these SS biologicals is to put them in a true life environment. The recommendation has been to deploy them as CHP Officers. The Legislature has overwhelmingly approved this method of testing and deployment.

Here’s the part you need to worry about. You must be very careful! If you get stopped by a CHP SS Biological, they won't be issuing you a ticket; they will simply kill you on site by shooting you in the face.

Super soldiers will be deployed in the following citie(s): ALL SO CAL CITIES.

I've already called and confirmed this with the Governor himself! He told me, “Ay-am-frakk, Stick Around”. You have been warned! Make sure those tail-lights are in working order and keep your hands at the 10-and-2 positions at all times!!

Myth is busted...

That's exactly the point. Same story, almost verbatim, appearing across the country in multiple states/counties/cities...? The only difference in the stories is the location name. Someone is obviously just c/ping the story around all over the place.

I don't think that is even physically possible for an officer to do.

how do we know that saying it's a hoax isn't a hoax in itself to get us to not believe it, and speed and have more cars to pull over?

It's possible, but probably not easy. My friend was pulled over while we were on a road trip and the CHP pig had us pulled over, ticketed and back on the road in the space of five minutes. He was back in the bushes hiding easily within ten or fifteen. He probably gets at least three or four cars an hour like that. Although I guess in the city it'd be harder...

I heard of this as well from a friend, who had this neighbor, whose cousin worked with this guy that had a cop for an inlaw but it was in NJ

3-4 is not 6 even if he wrote the ones and hit the road in five minutes.

Deputies and City cops generally cite less than 1/2 of the cars stopped unless they are assigned to traffic. All agencies replace their cars now and then - so 50 new cars does not mean 50 new officers

However, as it is said "Just because you are paranoid does not mean the *******'s aren't out to get you"

Even my workplace has the same "warning" email going ALL around the company's network.

After I read that link about the "fundraising" in New Jersey, I further confirmed the email I got was very fake, coz both emails were using the same template! The differences are only Freeway Numbers, Name of State, slight change of "grace mph above 65mph", and the Date...

But see, folks, whether or not that email is a scam or not, it is not important at all. The speed law is out there all the time, the freeways have the 65mph speed limit posts everywhere! The rules haven't changed a single bit! If you are speeding, you ARE speeding, no matter 1 or 10 mph above the limit.... It's sad, but it's true.
