Default AP Problem?

i have just married and flashed (i believe) stage 2, 93 onto my '04 sti. i looked at current map and it said 91, stage 2. so i thought, mayb i screwed up and selected the wrong one (doubt it). i tried switchin realtime maps, and it still says stage 2, 91. any thoughts?

The show current map on an AP only shows the BaseMap, not RealTime.

Bumping an old thread, same question.

I had Stage 1 93 Octane on my car. Went to a TBE and wanted to flash stage 2 93 octane on as the base map.

Followed the steps, green connectors, plug in AP, off/on, select map and wait, off unplug, on and drive....

When I go to the current map screen I see: Stage 1, 93 octane.

Reflashed stage 2 base map again, current map is still stage 1, 93 octane. Can't seem to get the stage 2 on??

Reason why is I have been spiking to 22psi. Decided to flash the stage 2 93 octane as the real time map, just to see, now spike to 19psi, current map still reads stage 1, 93 octane.

Any clue? Ready to reset the ECU when I get out of work to see what that does. I want to flash the LWG as a real time map when I get home to take care of the spiking. But I want to confirm I am on a stage 2 map first. Any comments???

Reupload Stage 2 map to your AP. (Just to make sure it's the right map.) Then reflash... you're more then likely not flashing it correctly.

Trenchcoat and sneakers are all I need right??

I am uploading new maps right now, we'll see how it goes. By the # of hits since I posted I am assuming this is not a common problem.

I resetted the ECU before I left work and got up to 23psi on the highway. Limped it all the way home.

you may want to try to unmarry the AP, delete all maps from it, DL new ones, and reflash the base map. if that doesn't solve the spiking issues bring it to a tuna.

Solved. Downloaded the latest from Cobb Tuning. A years difference in maps from the CD to the website. July 05 on the CD, June 06 on the website. Just flashed the car and it reads Stage 2 93 oct!! I'll go put some miles on and see what the boost looks like. I would hate to take my car to a fish to get it solved. Doesn't say much for my skills...
