Default FS/GI: 1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S Hatchback

This is a For Sale/Gauging Interest thread, as I really have to get everything together for it still. Lots of stuff all over the garage.

1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S Hatchback (larger pics at end of post)

It's got about [edit: car actually has 75k original, not 115k as I thought] on it, and has the original stock powertrain and drivetrain in the vehicle still. Only mods to the powertrain is a MAF adapter with an HKS mushroom intake filter. The car runs great, but has a slight hiccup on occasion from what I believe is a clogged injector. Running a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through it and 93 octane fuel clears it up for several tanks of fuel. I've replaced the cap/rotor/plug/wires, so I'm 95% sure it is just simply a clogged injector.

The interior of the car is stripped from the front seats back. All the stock interior pieces will come with the car, as well as all the stock (replaced) components that have been replaced by aftermarket ones, minus a front seat. Stock wheels included with some crappy all-season tires.

I'm technically the 3rd owner... first one was a board member's father, and second was my brother-in-law. Tracing the car's history back would be extremely simple if someone really wanted to know everything. I can tell you that the car has never been in a major accident, but that is all I really cared to find out (the rest doesn't much matter for a 20 year old toy car).

Modifications currently on the car:
T3 Front Coilover Conversion
T3 Rear Coilover Conversion
T3 Front Camber Plates
MAF Adapter & HKS Mushroom Intake Filter
Hawker Odyssey PC680 Battery
Kosei K-1 Racing Wheels (15x7) Painted Anthracite with Duplicolor Wheel Paint
Falken Azenis Sport tires (maybe 1.5k on them) 205/50-15
Momo 3-spoke Suede-wrapped Steering Wheel w/Horn Button
Momo Steering Wheel Hub Adapter
Quick-Release Steering Wheel Adapter
Unknown Brand Reclinable Sport Seats & Sliders
Sabelt 3" 5-Point Harnesses (only 4 points installed)
Custom Fabricated Harness Bar

Mods not on the car, but included with it:
Prothane Full-Car Suspension Bushing Kit (only tracking bar bushings installed)
Used Stock Zenki LSD With Axles
T3 Performance LSD Rebuild Kit (new)
T3 75mm Steering Hub Extension
Many, MANY stock parts, including all replaced with aftermarket pieces (minus a front seat), an extra hood, and an extra front bumper.

Possibly, but I think it'd be a case-by-case basis, as I'm not really looking for anything in particular around the same value as this. If anything, I'm looking at a Forester XT or something of the like. I've pretty much lost all the time in my life to work on a project car.

That'll happen when you get a forced promotion

Hopefully they pay you what you deserve - IMO Brian (the one you worked with) is way underpaid.. even though his pay is "average", tech development resides entirely in his head now

Not really a forced promotion... I had to take over my boss's job for a while and no, they didn't really pay me for it. Now I've got a new boss and refuse to do his work, plus I'm not planning on moving with the company at this point, so I'll be out of a job sometime between now and July.

Still not the reason I'm selling the car, though.

Yeah, he had it like 4 months (if that) before he sold it to get the MR2 (that David now owns).

Neither of us have much driving time on it. The longest I've driven it is about an hour trip. I've only put 1500-2000 miles on it since June/04... I've been busy all this summer with other stuff, though, it's not like it's been out of commission.

That's funny... safety-kleen is now at 90 days past due on an invoice, and every invoice between 90 and 0 is also past due.. so there is one at 90, one around 80ish, one at about 65ish, so on so forth... about 7 or 8 of them are past due... so we stopped turning in work.. reports, drawings, etc.

We'll see what happens...

I've considered it as an option, but a last option, at this point. I'm guessing that parting it out will yeild me a little bit more than selling outright, but it's not worth the extra cash to me.

Cool deal, thanks. I hadn't gotten the chance to put it up elsewhere, yet.

I'll definitely drop you an email if I decide to part it out instead.

Nice.

traded in a MR2 NA Auto for a WRX, sold that bought a GSR. Sold the GSR bought Donnie's MR2, bought a Accord for DD, sold that bought another Integra, all while doing a motor swap on the MR2.

Since 99 I've had 3 MR2's, 2 integra's. . .8 car's total. Almost as bad as you!
