Default Anyone know of any worthwhile musicals or operas in the NW in the next month or so?

GFs Bday is coming up...REALLY soon....we have both talked about going to a musical or an opera sometime but never actually do it...mainly because about 2 operas come through my town in a year, if were lucky.

Anyways I'm willing to drive 150 miles or so to go to it, so if you know of osmething, please let me know.

Thanks
Alex

The Wedding Singer opens at the 5th Ave Theater on January 31st

It's a musical based on the Adam Sandler movie. Should be good.

I think Die Fledermaus is at the Seattle Operahouse this month. Don't know if that is too soon for your plans. The Phantom of the Opera usually comes to Seattle about once a year. If you have not seen a musical or opera before that is a great one to see! My wife and I have seen it twice and loved it both times !! Also, I would check the Seattle Opera website and see their schedule and/or the Paramount Theatre and/or the 5th Avenue Theatre. I think that those are three good places to start. I know there are also some good smaller ones around, but I do not remeber their names.

Good Luck,

Alex, my sister works for the Seattle Opera, she can hook you up.

I will talk to her and find out what is coming up, and what tickets she can get.
