Default sti version 2 RA head info - finally- 1 million pictures

okay, not to start a nother comparison thread, but rather than probe another one, im going to start this for the sake of posting the pictures only.

Matt- could you write a FAQ of sorts on the different heads? you seem to know a reasonable amount on heads.

I tried to post this yesterday, but the board ate it. What it the serial number? I don't see one between the intake ports. It should be on the front of the heads behind the exhaust cam pulley. Both heads should have the same number. As for writing a FAQ, I know some, but don't feel I know enough to write a truly accurate FAQ...

I got a question for you and maybe you can help me. Where did you get a set of Ver 2 RA heads with the hard plastic timing gears??

The three sets I have all came with metal cam gears so thats why I am asking!

strange. ive had 2 sti ra ver 2 motors, and both had the plastic. i have a full set of the metal gears, but dont see the need to run them when the plastic seems lighter.

So, I've got a complete ver2 ra drivetrain in my 96 legacy. I'm wondering what kind of setup the rest of you guys with ver2's are running. I'm probably going to run a link plus on it and get it dyno tuned.
