Default Initial EcuTek tune on my '06 WRX

Currently I own an '06 wrx auto with cobb catted dp and spt catback and recently had an EcuTek flash/tune done. I asked my tuner for a conservative tune as I didn't want to affect reliability/safety in anyway (have only 6700 miles). My result...216whp and 237wtq. The car honestly feels awesome. Anyway after doing some reading/research I've seen '06s w/EcuTek and tbe dynoed as high as 240whp/280wtq which I assume must be aggressive and not what I'm looking for. Cobb's stage 2 is 22Xwhp/27Xwtq which has to be somewhat "safe" for an off the shelf map. My tuner gave me exactly what I suggested but what I'm asking is if I could go a bit more with no problems? My tuner mentioned that by increasing boost another 3psi (11.6 stock raised to 14.7 w/initial tune so another 3 would be 17.7...too high?) and giving 3-4 more degrees of timing would put me in the 225whp/265wtq range. What do you all think? Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, this is my daily driver and I come no where near to abusing it.

yea 17 is a little high with that engine turbo combo. Considering what other 06's are dynoing at normally, yours seem to be quite conservative (perhaps overly so).

For the flash/tune it was a little over $700. I'm not sure what you mean by "hardware" but regarding the flash you don't need to buy anything.
