I think they are from a Mercedes E-Class. It was all done by HIDtech.com.

Please understand that custom work does not have standardized pricing. I paid approx. $300.00 for the retro fit. Thats not including parts, for that market price was paid.

What's the tape for?

May I also get a PM of how much something like this would cost?

Thanks!

You guys are crazy. The tape was applied while the bonding agent dried around the rear seal. It will be removed They are aimed with the factory adjustment screws.

That looks great WShade, thanks for the pics! It gives me a little bit of insight for when I'm ready to tackle my own retrofit. No spare headlight housings FTW!

Factory screws aim the projectors? So I'm guessing that the projectors are mounted directly to the stock low beam reflector and nothing else.

BTW, will you have to move your battery at all to get the headlights onto the car?

Mounted to the reflector with backing support. No battery relocation needed.

great stuff guys, does anyone happen to have info on wiring up Bi-Xenon projectors? Or possibly how the solenoid trigger works electrically? I am curious if i can hook the solenoid up to the high beam relay that turns on the high beam halogens.

I need to get my hands on a BMW e46 wiring diagram

thanks a lot dchou. I am curious though, no one seems to show wires going off to the factory harness or how they connect into the harness so that you can turn the lights on and off and hi/low on and off? I am sure I can figure it out if i look at the stock diagram a bit but those details seem to be left out, and since everyone says don't use too small gauge of wire i want to make sure i tap in at a safe point.

thanks for the help.

If you look at the schematic on hidplanet there is a red wire on the left side that says "12V from Highbeam wire in OE harness" that is where you splice in the OE highbeam harness. There are other threads in hidplanet that talk specifically about the e46 projector becuase it has 3 wires to operate the highbeam solenoid instead of 2 like all other bi-xenon projectors.

On a side note. If you have the new e46 porjector it will be the newer bi-xenon that only has two wires to operate the highbeam solenoid.
