Default Picking up used accesport tomorrow

The guy is about an hour away. I want to be able to test it out to make sure it is unmated, but i dont want to reflash. Is there any way to tell if it is unmated with out flashing a map? also he says he is giving me "everything".....besides the programmer and the discs what else does an accesport come with?

Sorry for the dumb questions

Why not just reflash? You can flash back to stock if you want...that the foolproof way to do it.....However, if when you turn it on in the parking lot (connecting it to the car), it should say 'please select a map' and not give you any kind of menu of options...

Besides the AP itself, you should get the OBDII cable, a serial cable and a wallwart type power supply and a CD and manual.

If you take the Ap, and plug it into your obdII port, the first screen you should see should be "select a map to flash to ecu" Or something along those lines.

That tells you that its unmarried.

yea, what they said. Plug the AP into your OBDII port, the screen should say "please select a base map to flash". NO menu options. If menu options appear the AP is NOT unmarried. The menu will have numbers and list actions listed like 1-10.
