Default Cobb Stage 2 06 WRX

I recently purchased a Cobb AP and went directly to stage 2. I took my perrin intake off and put the stock unit back in place. My question is I know Cobb says not use any aftermarket intake but theirs with the Accessport. What will happen if I do? What could be possibly different from their (cobb) intake than my perrin intake.

i wouldnt use an intake that doesnt have a velocity stack built in..so that it keeps a constant air intake. You went to Stg 2 w/o TBE?if so you need to go back to Stg1 becuase stg2 is for turboback exhaust

Intakes have a major effect on MAF measurements and thus load calculations. I have seen an intake make the vehicle run lean enough to damage the motor. Not damage in time...immediate damage.

Please only use Stage2 mapping with the appropriate Stage2 modifications.

Which Perrin intake are you using? Apparently their short ram is "safe" to use - - not messing up the MAF reading.

But, if I were you - I'd keep the stock intake on untill you get a protune.
