Default need help on body shop in DC Metro area

i need body shop with broad experience with Subaru in DC Metro area [closer to Reston, VA is better], which can make an appraisal of damage for insurance company and then fix my car.
is it possible to ask them to put some non-stock parts under this insurance-paid repair? i know that Subaru sometimes charge a lot more for their parts than aftermarket. i am talking about some clear rear light, rear wing (if my one will be recognized as damaged - it came off on one side), performance muffler (if my is damaged) and so on.
at least i want to be sure that even with stock parts the job will be well done and without too much delay (i am not going to call every hour and scream "where is my car?"). and i know that not all body shops equally good at painting, so that is the issue too.

what happened:
good old resident of the land of american auto industry slammed his ford (what else would you expect in MI?) pickup in the rear end of my beauty :[

how it looks:
trunk lid is smashed; left rear lights are gone; rear bumper is damaged beyond repair; right rear fender (or whatever you call it) is scratched and has a medium dent; left rear fender is scratched; rear end (i have no idea how it is called - should i simply say trunk?) is bended a little; the worst is smell. let me explain about smell - i am really worried about it. there is no smell if you drive the car (it is in drivable condition - I drove 600 miles after yesterday accident) regular way - without quick acceleration. but if push the gas pedal hard in the floor then really bad smell (i cannot describe it, but it is not just like exhaust smell - for me at least) comes in the salon.

insurance issue:
this accident was not my fault (least i did not avoid that ford), so my insurance is paying for everything and how they got money from that ford guy is not my business. they will send the appraiser in next couple days to assess the damage. i do not know if they will allow me to take the car in some body shop for appraisal (from my experience i know they do in small towns on Midwest). anyway i will be authorized to repair my car at their account. sorry for long explanation - my english is not fluent.

what i can to do: i can go to Stohlman Subaru dealership and ask them to do all repairs. from my experience with them in last two years i think it will be a long enterprise. at best there will be no need to come back to them again and again to fix something they have missed. i do not have anything against mechanics at Stohlman, but that was my experience with them in past.

your help is greatly appreciated

P.S.:
in next couple weeks when you will see somebody waving to your Subaru from his awful red neon - please do not call police about crazy driver. that will be me on my rental car

blaster88 -

Yah - I ended up going to Craftsman Atobody in Chantilly. My insurance company (USAA) thought that was a good recommendation from the handful I got here in the forum.

I cannot yet comment on the quality. However, my car is a week late. Maybe even later.
