Question Supertones and OEM Alarm Horn?

If I replace the OEM horns on my 04' WRX with Hella Supertones will the OEM alarm now sound with the supertones or is there another horn I am missing just for the alarm? (I know there is a seperate horn for arming/disarming.) I can see there are 2 horns up front and one on the passenger side strut tower.

FYI...I don't want the alarm to sound using the supertones.

They will sound when your alarm goes off. Why don't you want the alarm to toot the Supertones? It seems like it would be great to have more noise in a situation where your alarm is actually being used as a theft deterrent, or to wake you up.

If someone accidentally bumps my mirror in a public place, setting off the alarm, it would be a noise violation and don't want my car towed....

the horn from the passenger strut tower is the alarm horn.

however, i don't think it honks with the arm/disarm, i think it only honks with the alarm when the alarm is activated... could be wrong though- haven't armed/disarmed with my hood up to tell

best way is to try it out. unplug the alarm horn(the one on the strut tower) and set off your panic alarm. then arm/disarm. see which one doesn't beep.

The Supertones will sound w/ the alarm. For some reason, when my Clifford alarm is set off, the siren as well as the horns go off. It is damn loud too. When I had the stock alarm in the car, the Supertones went off when triggered too.

my supertones sound with the alarm.... Look up how to put the Supertones on a switch, so when you dont want them you can switch them off and just use the stockers... Thats prob. your best bet.

This is why I got the 791xv 2 way responder so I will know if my alarm is going off. Just got my supertones (118dbs) today in the mail. Fun Fun.
