Default model year ECU changes

I've been looking and havent found what i need, so i'm hoping someone in this forum will know. I have a my99lob with the 2.5l w/blownHG and i'm looking to swap in a motor, I know all about the hybrid route and if i can find a SOHC short/longblock i'd go that route. so, heres what i'm asking.. I found a motor from a 2002 2.5 RS and i know i can use the block and everything, but would i still have to use my heads or can i use the heads from the 02? Cause a full engine swap is better than having to "work" something together. this is my daily work driver so i'm looking for fast and cheap swaps.

thanks..

get the 02, and roll with the punches. you have a decent chance of being able to hybrid with the full 02 longblock, if not just play the frankenstein game.

why not jsut swap headgaskets on your existing motor if it is sound otherwise? not hard, cost you ~$85.

well, i need to replace my clutch and my current motor has 100k on it, it also needs that oil gasket thing replaced as well, so either way i need to pull the motor.
