Hello i was wondering if before i install my utec i need to clear the ecu form my previous accessport programming? would it make a big difference or ??

i guess you arent getting answers because what you are doing doesnt make sense. The AP is far superior over the UTEC.

how is a cobb accessport better than a TXS Utec? i can just plug my laptop in and start ripping away at the fuel and timing curves! on my cobb accessport i have limted maps to choose from! My question is do i have to take off the cobb accessport map from the ecu before i install my utec? please enlighten me. I am just learining here

I would probably unmarry the AP before using the UTEC to be safe.

Thanks a lot guys i do appreciate it! i can read the fuel curve maps and timing is a little tricky for me i like to base my fuel from my a/f and knock so i kinda know about that a little.

You can run AP under the UTEC. Just remember if the AP is scaled for larger injectors than the UTEC will not need injector scaling. The AP is just like running an EcuTek under a UTEC. The UTEC will control timing and fueling as normal once over the TPS crossover.
And folks remember that apart from a couple of features all aftermarket EM's do the same sort of thing. They allow you to change the stock params. It's the tuning that produces the power, not the different EM. Of course some allow easier control than others. |
