PA: Alpine CDA-7940 tuner and AudioControl Four.1i EQ/line driver (pics)

Hey all.

I just had an Eclipse CD8053 put in my car, so my old items are for sale. I've had these in my '00 RS since June 2000. They're wonderful pieces and served me very, very well. No problems.

Alpine CDA-7940. Passive unit, must have external amp to run.

You can see in the pics that I have the trim ring for it. However, in a Subaru, this is not used.

That last pic shows the bottom of the unit. It has some dried silicone on it. I got about 90% of it off, but the rest will take some peeling or a solution of some sort. It was used formerly to mount a piece of plastic to the bottom (and one on top, but there's no residue on top) to fill the remaining 1/4 DIN space. This is a 1/2 DIN unit.

The Alpine was their top-end Tuner for MY1998 I believe. I bought it in 1999 and had it in my Acura for a year before I got the RS. This was about a $450 unit, new.

The AudioControl I bought when I did the RS install, in 2000. This was $300 new.

So, $750 back then. I was recently told by one of the audio guys that I could likely sell the Alpine for $150ish. So right now I'm considering $250/obo for the pair, plus shipping (USPS) including harness and that cable. It will also come a faceplate case, and the remote for the Alpine... which I forgot to get a pic of. It's rectangular. I may keep the Case Logic case for an old Pioneer HU I have, but have a decent Radio Shack one (great shape) that I will gladly toss in, as the OE hard cases tend to scratch the plastic.

I also have the owner's manuals for both! My feedback rating is good, have a look. I will likely ship these in bubble wrap, since I have a lot of it in my loft. NO PAYPAL. Certified check or money orders only.

Thanks! Hopefully those pics work, I exceeded my bandwidth on my Photobucket account so I just found Snapfish. I've been unable to find an online info bit on the 7940; it's not archived on Alpine's site anymore, either.
But I'm sure it's out there somewhere if you want the stats.
