Talking New enthusiast here!

Am trying to read past posts so I don't create redundancy... .Wished I'd found this some time ago but...., I'm here. (thanks Miller3339} Might be upgrading sus. on 94 Alpinesport Legacy. Looking at KYB (mr2 ?) and 18mm bar (as suggested by SPD Tuning). Have considered Eibach/KYB-AGX but may not be keeping car IF ALLEDGED turbo Impreza comes into fruition. Does anyone know if I already have (stock) 18mm a-sway bar? Legacy Mi (Alpine sport pkg.) If it is not a bother, what have peoples experiences been w/ sus. mods? also needing tires VERY SOON! Always like peoples feedback on what works-what doesn't. Want 1 tire to run all year in Seattle environ.. Dont need "all out" performance tire, but dont want generic "bargain basement" either. Appreciate feedback and will not be so long winded in future! Thanks!

again... welcome!! (see post on NW section)

I have upgraded my suspension and also have the 18mm sway bar as well. I am running the H&R lowering springs w/shock (AHHHH) struts at the moment. Need more $$ then I will be getting the KYB's...

The springs are great, ride smooth, not choppy and look good - not too low. The 18mm bar was my cheapest, and one of the best mods I have done. It did make a great bit of difference in the handling of the car.

Please let me know if u have any ?'s - either here, or email me privately!!!

"nice to meet you"!!

Good to have you Alpine( at least until the new Impreza comes out ) Concerning the sway bar, give your local dealer a call, the parts book lists the size of sway bars of different cars. I have a book but it only goes to 92. I think the wagons with air suspension had the biggest of the 90-94 wagons and that was an 18mm but I could be wrong, and I believe the Alpines had regular suspension. One thing is if you do decide to get an 18mm rear bar, have a look at some of the salvage yards first. I don't mean to take business away from our Subaru Tuners here in the states, but a friend of mine got an 18mm bar off a wrecked Outback for like $25.00. That's a big difference.

As for the KYB (GR-2s), it is said that are a very good replacement strut and they work well with the factory springs and are quite inexpensive as well.
