Unhappy Why is my utec not speaking to my computer?

Hey guys. I purchases a UTEC from one of the fellow board members about a month ago. Everything seems to be fine, but when I plug the serial cable into the utec and connect it to my computer the computer they are unable to communicate. I'm following the Turboxs directions and thus I thought I was doing everything properly. Also I'm using the 9 volt battery connecter to power the UTEC. I just don't understand it. I want to be able to use my UTEC and not just have it sitting here. So I was just wondering if any one had any idea to offer up. thanks

You first need to double check your port settings. Also, after you turn on and go to hyperterminal. Try to press enter or escape to "wake it up" .

If you do a search on this topic you can find a boatload of info.
