Default whats a good clutch?

Hey guys! its me again ! as you can tell my car is really crapping out on me . my friction point on my clutch is getting higher and higher so i guess its time for a new clutch. its not slipping yet but, its getting soft. what do you guys suggest to get for aftermarket or should i go back to stock? what holds up more and whats better for my money? and last how much of my leg do i have to cut off to buy it?

thanks guys!

Exedy clutch is the way to go, even the dealers are replacing the OEM clutch with those. they are stronger, no cold shutter and cost the same as OEM some times less

Maybe try bleeding the clutch or getting new lines?

You should just wait until you go to Rocket Rally and get suggestions there.

You need to determine torque rather than horsepower in seeing which clutch would be good for you.

Tell us how much torque/power and what goals you have for your car within the next two years and it will more accurately tell what clutch would be best for you.

But I do agree with Exedy. They are awesome. I am however a strong advocate for ACT.

Driving style?

i got 56,000km's on my stock clutch, with quite a few clutch glazing launches (dont ask)... still grabbing quite hard and low.

Someone had to replace their clutch on their wrx in under 10,000km's but i wont give any names.. haha.

almost 70,000km here and it's still good..

except i do notice now that there is some "rev-jumping" when shifting from 2nd to 3rd under hard throttle.. (and no i did not have my foot on the gas pedal when pressing the clutch) haha..

Lantec, the single plate organic is a good option for a street car but like others have said it depends on your goals with the car.

but you should have your clutch checked first if you have low K's on it and it has not been abused

if you're at "reasonable" (under 300? torque at the wheels?) power levels i'd suggest the ACT Street Disc. i run a VF34, supporting mods, etc., and this clutch has been a godsend so far.

...getting near 100k here and the stocker (I believe) is still holding out just fine. Going to bleed the clutch later this spring when I work on the brakes.
