Default Possibly another street racing accident

Heard about this at work. One guy died another in serious trouble after an accident near 1st ave entrance to freeway. The pole that the 5 series BMW hit was bent right over. Newsclip

Yikes. Everytime I hear "young teens" i'm always scared of reading names I've familiar with. *Touchwood*. Still, sucks to hear how people die at a young age from a stupid mistake.

RIP.

The exit was closed this afternoon when I drove by on my way to metrotown - actually the exit from Hwy 1 onto first.

Driving at speed on public roads will get about 10% of the kids who do it. I was one of the lucky ones. I started to drive smarter about 5 years ago, speeding only when safe to do so. At 40 yr old I'm just plain driving slower.

Good luck to all you speed freaks out there. When you do install the ultimate mod...Please try to take only your own @ss and leave the passengers and innocents alive.

Good luck.

Thats just so sad that it happened, just more proof that street racing kills.

Although it's unfortunate that he took out his passengers, at least he didn't take out another car. Who the hell races when they have 4 passengers in the car? The guy must have been pretty drunk and his friends pretty stupid... I'm just sorry for the families involved.

That's darwin at work.
Maybe I'm desensitized to this sort of thing, but I can't be bothered to shed a tear when I hear about another street racing/alcohol accident. It's just one step closer to eradicating the stupid gene.

Btw, why is it a street racing accident if they were drunk?

The uckfing media puts their own spin on everything, now don't they.
