Default EcuTek

Just trying to get some feed back/info on EcuTek. What's good about it? what's not so good about it? why is it better than other units?
those of you who have them, what do you really think?

What's good:

It's software, no other parts or wires. It preserves the stock safety mechanisms and stock control of routine systems (e.g., say, idle). With the right MY, you can switch boost maps.

What's bad:

No user-tuning features; you need a tuner. Other than boost map switching for certain MY's, there is no ability to change maps on the fly. Changing maps requires a reflash.

well right now, I don't know how to retune any unit, I'm brand new to the tuner world, so it may be a good by for the time being.

You may want to think about an accessport from cobb. Start with the basic maps (or a ProTune for your setup) and when you are ready to tune yourself graduate to street tuner.

You need a tuner whatever EM you go with. It will take you years to learn to tune as good as your local tuners.
I love my Ecutek by the way.
