Default Chrysler Imperial Concept

Quote:
Chrysler's surprise entry at the show is this high-luxe sedan concept that revives a much-abused nameplate from the automaker's past. Built on a stretched Chrysler 300 platform, the Imperial is, of course, Hemi V-8 powered and rear-wheel drive. But the chassis tuning prioritizes ride comfort over handling. Not only is the Imperial nearly a foot and a half longer than the 300, but it's six inches taller as well, for a more upright seating package and greater interior space. The suicide doors and the shape of the side window opening are both a rather blatant ripoff of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. More than a mere flight of fancy, we expect that if the Imperial doesn't elicit too much giggling, Chrysler will add a full-luxury range topper like this to its lineup. Priced in the low $40,000 range, it would go up against the Cadillac DTS and Lincoln Town Car--and to try and extend Chrysler's celebrity cred beyond the 300C.

Without a doubt one of the most hideous cars I've ever seen.

I personally don't think it is hideous at all - NOT my style - but it definitly has a very bold style and looks very unique (well besides the obvious Bentley rip-off styling, but that car costs 10x as much, so I don't consider it being a negative thing).

Toning down the styling some and HOPEFULLY reducing it's size, I think might might actually sell fairly well.... I rather see a car like the Imperial on the road, than more god damn SUVs.

Chrysler never fails to be willing to go out on a limb and try to knock your socks off.... and not too surprisingly, it is in the best position of the Detroit automakers.

Finally a car aimed at the super-rich imperialists we all want to be.

It looks like the DUB CITY edition of a Rolls Royce. I see what they were going for, but the proportions are all off. It looks small and stubby for it's size.
