Hi everyone,
Just picked up my new 7 passenger LTD with Navi, Mahogany Red with Tan. Was able to get rid of my wife's 04 Chrysler Pacifica. So Far, its a blast to drive. Went into the dealer looking for an Outback, drove the outback and then the B9 and there was no turning back. Looking forward to many months of enjoyment with the B9. Please elt me know if there is anything important that I need to know not only as a new B9 owner, but as a person new to Subaru all together. Thanks in advance, Anthony

Welcome
![]() How does the B9 compare to the Pacifica? I'm not a huge fan of Chrysler but I always liked the looks of the Pacifica. It seemed like it would be a nice vehicle. Something to know as a Subaru owner and not necessarily a B9 owner is there is a switch on top of the steering wheel column, when you flick it, it will turn on the parking lights. Many people do that by mistake and think something is wrong. Just a heads up. All Subaru's have that switch and at one time or another it gets flicked. I am depriving others of making fun of you and you of feeling silly though. I kind of feel guilty about that Enjoy the new B9 Peaty PS info here on the parking lights: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3661 Last edited by Peaty; 01-30-2006 at 08:49 PM. |

Hey Peaty,
Thanks for your feedback. The Pacifica was a good car/suv. My wife and I did 2 moves and wedding planning with it. However, in the snow/sleet/ winter weather, it was not good. Also, it was much bigger than my B9. Since the time that we got it, I was looking to replace it. Almost got a Grand Cherokee, but I was going to have to give up the Navi, dual zone climate and leather to be at the same lease price I am paying. I am looking ahead to some real winter weather. We replaced our Outback VDC with the B9. The VDC is amazing. When driven with some common sense it's almost unstoppable short of hi-centering it
