So everyone whats the word on the borders. I havent heard in a while.

Are they still closed.....?

Are they open....?

Are they letting shipping companies through........?

They are open.
Shipping companies are getting through.

They are searching every vehicle still.

I was thoroughly searched, crossing into the US and then back into Canada.

You will get through, just expect long long delays.

Default Depends on location and time.....

I went down to WA on Sunday -- got to Peace Arch @ around 11:30am, didn't get through the border until 12:30pm -- had about a 1h wait. Some others that I've talked to went to the Aldergrove crossing at around the same time said it only took them 20-30 minutes to get across.

The US customs officer asked for the usual stuff -- citizinship, what you're doing there, picture ID, etc. They searched my car as well -- they asked me to pop my hood and trunk. They didn't search inside the passenger compartment though.

As for comming back into Canada, it was around 10pm or so. No lineup. The Canadian customs officer asked for picture ID as well -- didn't search my car.

I heard the line ups early in the morning aren't too bad. Anything after 10am, expect a wait. Oh yeah, when I was comming back home, there was a long lineup @ the US customs going into WA.

Default ID needed to get through border...

Birth certificate by itself, no. But a birth certificate in conjunction with picture ID (like a driver's licence) should be okay. If you don't have a passport, go that route.

If you're not born here, but have a citizenship card, that should be alright as long as you have another picture ID to go along with it if your citizenship card is old (i.e. you came here when you were 9 years old).

When in doubt, call up Canada/US customs and ask them what type of ID is required.

I think I saw you at Peace Arch Sunday! We crossed about the same time. Do you have a I-Club sticker on lower part of the rear quater panel?

Thumbs up Yes, that was me!

Yeah, I saw you waiting to go through Canada customs as I was waiting to go through US customs. Love your rims! Totally awesome! You should hook up with Tora for some Legacy Wagon Action!

I also saw another BRP RS going north on HWY99 while I was headed south on HWY99 Sunday Morning. Was it anyone on the board?

My last Subaru sighting was a Silver WRX in Blain at around 10-11ish as I finished getting gas. Anyone here?

That's funny I buy gas here in Canada so I can get the 94 octane. I have been looking for Tora for some time now. Just can't seem to find him in this vast city of Whistler.
