2003 has an evap system sensor that the 2002 does not, i have to figure out how to bypass it to work with my 2003 WRX ECU

Why would you rewire those harnesses rather than just plug them into to your current dash? You already have a GD.

Use whatever harness you like 02 or 03, but use the 02 ECU.

you'll need the FP controller and btw the dash harnesses are NOT identical

your RS may use the same cluster but you still have a different ECU connectors and such

and GD is your body code

Correct, but I'm saying replace the full bulkhead harness.

ah sorry i read that all wrong, do as he suggested, replace the bulkhead and engine bay harnesses and save yourself the work of splicing

yes it will be a bit more pricey but you'll have less to worry about in the long run.

You don't need to use the 03 front harness, just the bulkhead.

Almost - you will get a 1446 code as has been suggested before. Best bet is to find a 02 ECU. We can fix the 02 harness so it doesn't throw the code as well.

trust me '03's have it. the reason i know is because when i said the code a UTEC beta tester recognized the code right away. '04 might have a different sensor but it's definitely an EVAP system P1446 stored. it's because the '03 had an extra sensor that the '02 did not. Do i know exactly what the difference between 02 and 03 are? no i don't but there is definitely a difference.

^^^ Yeah, I was going to mention, there is a differentiation between early and late 03's. Not sure what it is exactly though.

the code can be flashed out with an access port(i intend to flash out the P0420, the rear o2 heater p0141, and the p1446 evap codes).

not wasting the money on a rear o2 if it's not gonna have a cat to check if you know what i mean

btw: here's some wiring info for ya with some pictures
