can someone tell me if the 04 Cobb AP will work on an 05???

Nope it wont work on an 05, biggest difference being the immobilizer. If you want to buy one locally check out Mach V near dulles or go to their website www.fastwrx.com

the point is for this thread... i want a used 05 AP... im not looking to buy new , i would just order from gruppe-s

hot-subaru.com has tons of them. I got mine in 3 days. Not sure what MachV sells them for but, they tend to be pricey.

ummm 05 wrx dont have the immobilizer only the STi.

an 04 works, it just has to be flashed for an 05. In fact cobb recently released a flash to take it back from an 05 down to an 04 (05 software had some issues on the 04 vehicles, usually minor like idle).

Not sure if the 04>05 flash is still publically avaible or not. I would suggest calling them.

that's why they came out with v1.30 way back in May. There were just too many issues between the two. I would not suggest running the 04 on a 05 car. Visit Cobbs forums and you will find your answer.
