Question Where do I find a good strut tower brace?

I'd like to get a front strut tower brace, but I don't know where to shop for them. First of all, I'm looking for my Legacy 2.5GT, so that makes it a little harder to find stuff. The only place I've seen that specifically says they carry one for the Legacy is Primitive Enterprises for $240. SYMS' site shows what appear to be front and rear strut bars, but of course the writing is in Japanese, and I don't know who sells SYMS' stuff.
Are there any options other than SYMS and Primitive? Will Impreza strut tower braces fit on a Legacy? (I know a lot of other suspension/drivetrain stuff will, but I imagine the Legacy is probably wider, so I'm guessing the answer is no).

Thanks for your help.

Cool

You can get SYMS stuff at SPO motorsports (symstech@spomotorsports.com) I am looking at their "catalog" now, their Legacy front strut brace is $312.50. From what I hear SYMS is just about the best stuff you can get. I also heard the front brace dosen't do much because the towers are so close to the firewall they are already really stiff. If you email them and ask they will send you a "catalog" for free! It has some really nice cars in there!

Thumbs up

The SYMS tower brace does help. Makes the car more unified in the front. Helps in steering precision. Note: NOT worth the money when no other mods are done to the suspension. It's one of those package deals.

Try www.cfimotorsports.com
They sell the OMP front strut bar for Impreza, and it will fit onto the 98~99 Legacy with minor modification.

You have to remove 1 or 2 screws for the cruise control mount and tilt it to one side, so it will clear the bar.

I got mine from JC Sports for $99 - yeah, it took a while - but that didn't bother me too much.

SCC (Sport Compact Car) rates this brace quite highly - IMHO it's a damn good deal.

Hello SYMS GT. I have front and rear Legacy SYMS strut bars in stock. Rear for the wagon. Front isn't brand new. It was returned by a customer because it didn't clear his Super Charger. Very good price on this unit. Rear is brand new, never used. Rear is simply one of the best mods for the wagon. Well priced also. I will give you tech specs on small details about the front bar that are very important for fitment. You can contact me at tech@challengerdeep.com.
