Question Next mod?

What should be the next mod I do to my car? I was thinking either a bigger rear swaybar or new exhaust. Do you know of anyone who makes these for my car? And tell me to get new tires. Shes a '93 L Sedan. The only mod I have so far is a K&N filtercharger.

JC, I own a 93 L Sedan too. I beleive that yours is FWD. Getting a sway bar without a good suspension won't do any good. I would recommend getting a good set of struts and springs. I got KYB GR2 struts and Eibach springs. Expensive but excellent stuff. I still need to install 18mm rear sway bar. The problem with the FWD Lagacys is that it does not come with any sway bar, so it is not that easy to replace the bar unlike AWD cars. It would take only 20 minutes to replace the bar, but for me I have to install the brackets first and then the bar. The sway bar by it self costs $165, but the bracket and bolts cost me $150 more. Therefore, expect to spent around $300 just for this mode I didn't know that problem, otherwise I wouldn't have started it, but since I got really nice set of struts and springs, so I had to install the whole kit. I got the whole kit from SPD tuning. http://www.spdusa.com. Only thing left is the installation.
Thats pretty much I am going to do on my car. I just wanted a nice ride and handling. I got to admit that it does not have enough power to go fast, especially with auto transmission, so modifying the engine is out of question. Since you asked that what are the mode you can do. The fact is that you can't really do all that with a 93 L Sedan. If I would have got an Impreza then the possibilities were endless.

No, its an AWD w/ an Auto. Do the struts and springs ride well or is the ride harsh? Are they hard to install?

This is the best set up you can find for Legacy. The fronts were easy to install, but the rear were kind a pain. Off course you have to have all the required tools for this task. Ride is not harsh, but kind of bumpy at slower speed. It is very firm and smooth on freeways. Since I haven't installed the bar yet, then it will get better. You can check my modes in the member section under Texas.

How about an underdrive pulley? Do they actually yield a tangible hp gain? How hard are they to put on? Has anybody run into problems with their accesories not getting enough power? Thanks for any help.

Cool

I have the pulley. The lights do dim a bit when you idle but after that they are fine. When I first put them on I noticed a little difference in acceleration. Mostly in 1st and 2nd gear. Oh ya, I just have the stock sterio. I'm not sure what would happen if you have a super duper sterio, you may need a different alternator.

Lightbulb

Remember if you just want a cheap handling improvement go with the rear bar. And to make it even better go to your local salvage yard and pull the rear 18mm bar from an Outback for ~$70.
For more contact SPO for their 20mm bar w/solid links.

Would it be possible to swap in a WRX motor (EJ20?) or an SVX motor?
