This is probably the worst Chinese New Year I would ever wanted to have. I am a gas station attendant and tonight, a dude has ran off after $50 bucks of gas. While I was approaching his big pick up truck after fueling, he suddenly start his car and "floored" it with me in front of his dumb truck. It was so close.

I am just mad at this.

Imagine what could've happened if you confront either one of them (like in Montreal).. doesn't your station do pre-pay only at night or something?

remind me of that a while ago news some gas attendant got ran over and killed while he tried to stop the driver from escaping $15 of gas? DOnt risk your like for your damn job man!

I think for the safety of the attendant, all gas station should do pre-pay only at night, and be told not to go after people running off with gas

all the chevron I go to have security cameras all over the roof pointing at the pump stations. It should record the license plates numbers. I agree with the pre-pay system.

Too bad you pulled the pump out of the tank... if he bolted with the pump in the tank still, he can't take it out

thx guys, but I did let him go. It was just all of a sudden when I walk over just to collect the money as usual. He floored it as in he wanted to kill me. Yeah guys, I agree with the pre-paid system, it is always the best.

thats crazy, glad to hear your ok, i think people should have to go inside pay first if they are using cash, and then go pump and the pump would stop at w/e amount it is they paid...i dont no if this is the prepay you guys are talkin about or just the normal card deal... iv always used my card so i dont know

did u get the plate or anything

Thanks man, yeah I got the plate right after I got up from the floor. I was on the floor because I had to like jump away to avoid getting hit. Btw, most people coming into the station won't pre-paid because our station is all full serve. Basically, all the stations in the Coquitlam area is full serve.

I dont know if you allow to do this, but try leaving the nozzle on until the customer pays you

I don't think you can do that, I forgot to put the nozzle back at the stand once at a self service gas station. The attendant said the computer won't let me pay until the nozzle is put back. Also, people might like to start their car up while they wait for the bill, thats way to dangerous if the nozzle is left on with the car.

Yea Joe, you are right. IF the nozzle isnt hung up, then it won't show up on the computer.
