Default STi V4 boost solinoid ?'s

So I figured out that my boost solinoid isn't working. I ordered a blitz EBC to replace it.

My question is I've got 2 solinoids, one to control my wastegate actuator and another that's hooked up to a little black map sensor. Do I take out both solinoids? Does that little black map sensor have any function other than for the factory boost control?

Thanks all

Should be 2 separate vacuum lines. One goes from the intake to the pressure sources valve, then to the MAP sensor. The other off the turbo tee line to the boost control which vents back into the intake hose. Never disconnect the line to the MAP sensor. You have to leave the boost solenoid plugged in when you take the boost hoses off for your Blitz control or you will get a CEL.

I am already getting a CEL because of my boost solenoid. If nothting was wrong with it I probably wouldn't of bought the EBC, but since it did I may as well up the boost a lil. will a resistor fix the CEL I am getting with the bad solenoid? Or am I stuck with the light unless I pick up a new solenoid?

Still unclear as to what the actual function of that MAP sensor is, seams to me like it's just there for the factory ecu to control the boost. Seams like the MAF would still controll the fuel, unless it's designed to use the readings from the MAP to control fuel once boost is in the system. But doesn't explain why the solinoid is there. Damn goofy set up. Nothing I have delt with uses a system like this.

pipe comes off of the IC, goes to rubber pipe, then the BOV goes in that. tube comes out of BOV and goes to intake tube.
