I relly thought the LS was a step in the right direction. I am sorry to see it go.

That car deserved to be RWD... Ford just dug it's own grave on that vehicle.

not suprised...just another cute, high-priced, low-volume gimmick from Detroit. Maybe you should focus your R&D on competing with civics/accords/priuses/camrys of the world.

This was interesting though...

Idled workers represented by the United Auto Workers union are eligible for unemployment, and the company makes up most of their difference in lost wages. Once their unemployment runs out, workers are transferred to Ford's jobs bank program, where they receive almost full pay and benefits

mh_WRX, that is a big reason why the US makers are losing (well addition to the fact they aren't up to par with the imports, many of which are produced here.)

Will be interesting to see if GM and Ford ever dig out of their holes.

Oh here we go again - sounds like one more person that has fallen for the "blame the unions" excuse.

The unions aren't the ones that made Ford blindly give up the ghost on cars back in the 80s and 90s and concentrate almost exclusively on their truck line. The union isn't the group that is poorly managing the company or engineering or designing these vehicles.
