UPDATE Color soon to come

Default WTB: Rear diferential with 3.9 final drive!

Im swapping my automatic transmission in my95 impreza L to a 5speed. When i come to find out that the rear end in the auto has a final drive 4.11 and my manual tranny that im dropping in has a final drive of 3.9. So all i need is a diff with a final drive of 3.9 to complete my swap!

Finished SWAP=

If it's a stock rear diff out of an 04 WRX it's 3:54 not 3:90.

That page is wrong, check your Subaru service manual or the Differential FYI post in the Transmission Forum.

Default Thanks!

Hey DYlan im the one that bought the 2.5rs motor out of chris! YEa but thanks for the offers to both! i Actually just bought a rear end today, so the my car should be up and running any day now!

PS: THe wrx rear diff for one it is very difficult to use with out the actuall wrx tranny and second of all it is not a 3.9 its more like a 3.54 something like that!

you'll need a 4:11 to go with the trans on that motor.

WRX has a weird setup.

Front diff is a 3.90/1, centre diff is a 1.1/1 and the rear diff is a 3.54/1.

Dylan: Well im under the impression that the transmission that i have is a 95 impreza L 5spd wich is a 3.9

Does anyone else know other wise, about the final drive of a 95 L 5spd?

I pulled the rear diff out of the same car that motor and transcame out of and it was a 4:11. Somebody had swapped the entire set up.
