Default car going in and out of wastegate pressure boost help

I'm running a V2 STi motor in the car. Replaced all my coils the other day and was finally able to drive the car in full working order. I haver been able to hit target boost until the other day.

BUT....the car seems to be randomly deciding to go into limp mode or something. No CEL though. Yesterday i was driving on the freeway, downshifted and was hitting target boost and then it all the sudden dropped to wastegate pressure. i turned off the car at a stoplight and started up again and it started running normal boost levels again. But now it's back to wastegate pressure.

any ideas??? thanks

bad boost control solenoid or pressure sensor, you aren't getting a RPM or fuel cut right?

that or you have a boost leak somewhere

note that if you don't have your wastegate covered witha heat sheild and it's been raining a good deal the actuator could very well be getting stuck open due to corrision

me too swapstar.

not getting a fuel cut or anything. it's weird because when i plug in my green/black test connectors to reset the ecu it gives me code 43 whiich i believe is the pressure sensor? but i don't have a CEL when they aren't plugged in... so that might be worth looking into. anybody know if you can clean the pressure sensor?
