Default Debadge?

Anyone try debadging the "SUBARU" and "B9" letters from the rear? I was just wondering if there are any holes underneath or if it's just adhesive? I tried a search with no results.

Thanks in advance...Cru

On the Edmunds list there are several long threads on debadging...easily done with a bit of CAREFULL heat. They are glued on.

Good luck,

Not to single you out bub, but what the hell is up with people debadging their cars? Show some vehicular pride people!

I always debadge my cars, they look cleaner and are easier to wax. Most people could not car less about cars and won't even notice anyway. If they know enough about cars to recognise what it is then they don't need badges. My wife wants to keep them on her B9 so I won't touch them. My Forester has no stickers or badges at all. I have a small Cobb circle sticker on each side and that's it. Unless you know Cobb you won't know what it means anyway. I'd rather them find out the hard way

Thanks for the info, I didn't want to run into any holes.

As far as "vehicle pride" goes, it's not my car, it's my girlfriends. She actually suggested the debadging. She's very proud of her Tribeca as it is the first "nice" car she has been able to afford.

I debadged all the lettering from the rear of the Tribeca today. What a difference. It's a much cleaner, smoother look in the rear.

It was very easy to do. I heated the letters first with a hair dryer, then used dental floss to cut through the adhesive. I was able to remove most of the adhesive by rolling it off with my thumb. I used Goo Gone to remove what little was left, washed and waxed. I would post pics, but I don't see the option. Is it because I'm not a paying member?

Correct. No holes under "SUBARU", "B9" and "TRIBECA". I don't know about the Subaru emblem. When I get some good pics I will email them to you.
