So you are posting at our car club asking our club members to join your car club... How does that work?

well i guess i am, i've seen 2 i-club members at the david lam campus so i thought it would be cool if we were all in the same club or at least know each other, people can be in more than one club or be affiliated with more than one shop

Sorry bout that... but it's just odd to invit people to join a club from another club, but if you invit us to your events like UBCSCC's auto-x at BB, that would be cool... they don't tell us to join their club, just join their events...

Whatever...I find it kind of "rude" for someone to so blatantly recruit new members this way.

i don't see what's the fuzz, people aren't limited to just 1 club.. and with all the i-club ethics and standards, i'd say one would have to do a damn good job at organizing his/her own club to make somebody completely abadone i-club(i mean com'on, even those guys that switched cars are still in i-club)

Thumbs down well, what's "club day" then?

What's the point of having a "clubs day" at school then? Just so you can waste your time sitting at a table all day watching people walk by?

I dunno if DC has a "clubs day," but I know SFU and UBC have a club's week where clubs recruit new members. Try that method instead of posting in another club trying to recruit new members.

If you want to start a club, first find some like-minded people and go from there. No sense in starting club if there aren't any members to begin with!

Ok, so some people are getting offended. Right-O. Let's get things straight then.

I don't mind people from iClub joining "other" clubs/crews/teams. In fact, quite a few members from our club belong to other clubs/crews/teams.

What I DO have a problem with is the fact that you are coming on here recruiting for "exec" members from here without first recruiting from your OWN campus (as I've gathered that is what you are trying to achieve, a campus club). Again, like Penphoe has pointed out, perhaps you should try recruiting from your own campus first before barging onto other people's sites/clubs/crews and recruiting from there.

Look in your campus handbook or ask around where the campus clubs are. I wouldn't be surprized if there already is a car club.

Thumbs down Here's another tip....

Try putting posters up on campus -- advertise that way. You'll be more effective in reaching your target.

Darren!!

ps -- i-clubbers are free to join whatever club they choose.

Default Ah, words can be so harsh...

You can call me whatever you want, but I won't resort to name calling.

So you've done a bit of homework researching whether or not another club like this exists at your school. Now you need to do a little work recruiting members. I think that posting here is probably not your best way of recruiting people. Your target audience is very VERY thin here.

LaterZ!

Ok, Penphoe is only trying to help YOU get your club off the ground.

You know, so far you've only shown me your complete ineptitude at PR. You say you want to meet new friends, learn stuff about cars...well, as much as I hate to say it, there already IS a club for people like you...it's called revscene. iClub here is for Subaru owners and enthusiasts. And you coming here recruiting members for your campus clubs, hey no problem with that, you merely misrepresented yourself in your initial posts by saying you need 'exec' members. No problems there. Penphoe tried to help you, and you turn around and snap at him. Sorry, no dice.

Get your trolling attitudes out of here. Thank you.
