Default ok.............

first name calling on the internet, stupid of me, sorry......i took his comments as being very sarcastic because those are obvious things to do, the whole exec thing wasnt really explained well, there is an election to be taken place first before anybody has any position, im am simply the founder, i originally thought this would be a good place as well as rs,ic and obviously on the campus's to find members and see who on i club went to douglas......i didnt mean to start trouble, and i didnt expect to get the response i did, it hurts me though that i may be a imprezza owner in the next 6 months, and this is how i percieve i-club to work, i'd expect for people to react and say thats cool douglas has a car club now, and for people that didnt go to douglas to just move on.......anyways im going ot bed cause i have class in the morning

Exclamation That's fine....

As you probably have already learned, name calling and trolling isn't put up with here on the i-club. It's something we've had since day-one.

Anywayz, if you're going to post something, then be clear about it. You want to start a car club at Douglas -- fine. I think it would have been better to post something along the lines of:

"Hey, who goes to Douglas College" on the board. Then you could have contacted those people outside the board, or, if you wanted to, direct the thread and let them know that you're starting up a car club.

Personally, I found it a bit rude the way you stated you were starting a car club and looking for an exec member, but I kept that to myself until now.

Also, if you want people to contact you, at least put your first name so they can address you properly! We already have a problem here by calling each other by our i-club nicks!

I've said my piece.

LaterZ!
Darren!!

Now you come back and be all apologetic. Hmm. Why the sudden change of heart? You were pretty cheeky in the other post just now...what happened? Is it because...*gasp* you see the flaws of your ways?

Look, nobody here is mean, or wants to pick on you, but you gotta come here with a mature attitude. Don't be all cheeky thinking you're doing everyone a favour because you're not. There are people here on iClub who will be interested in joining your club, that's their perogative. But if you're going to come here, start calling one of our more respected members names, and then go to another board and b!tch and moan about it...please...

Yeah, that's about right.

Err ... I just read the thread and felt that rs_evolution wasn't really out of line -- you guys were coming down kinda hard on a guy who was just posting an invitation on here.

I would say, however, that one needs a club with members before one can have officers.

Good luck on forming your campus club, rs_evolution!

Keiho: here's a cheesy TV line, but i think it would apply here.. "if a person can find in his heart and change, why can't you find it in your heart and accept it"

chill, i'm sure you meant well but you're probably just caught in the heat and find the abrasiveness justified.. relax

this whole thing sure started out in the wrong foot..

Devo: I am 'chill'. It's just that when I talk seriously people always seem to think I'm mad or something. Like I said, I have no problems with his intentions of starting up a club, etc. I just have a problem with his attitude. If he can change hey fine, good for him.

straight up, sorry........i didnt mean to be rude, this is the beggining of the club and i never thought of my coming on i-club and telling you about it would make some people uneasy, i will think on alot more before i do anything concerning the club, i would still like to be a part of the i-club msg board cause i may have a subie soon.......so just wanna make things better and no hard feelings (hopefully), but if you guys want to "flame" me the theres nothing i can do........

Guy, if you treat everyone with respect, the way you would like to be treated, you'll get the same in return. It's quite friendly here, so I hope you get your Subaru soon! Er, I guess you don't even have to, to be part of the club (ie: Look at 5zigen and his Civic who always hangs with us, hehe).
