Default drive by wire issue

hey.. does anyone have done sti swap on and WRX or GC?? i'm about to do the swap on my 02 wrx.. and someone told me that the mounting bracket for the gas pedal is different.. and will mess up the trottle when not properly installed.. can someone tell me where to install this? on right spot? does anyone have done it?? let me know!

that is correct. If you are installing the DBW pedal on a GC RS floor, then the pedal travel will exceed past 100% throttle (or 4.5v max reading), therefore, a longer screw used at the bottom of the bracket spaced out by washers will be needed to set the stop to max out at 4.4-4.5v reading that is sent to the ECU.

hey thanks for the info. but its going into an 02 wrx.. i'll check yours out. but do i have to do the same as the gc for this to be working properly?

the pedal travel should be the same on your wrx. best thing I can tell you is once you get power to the pedal, measure the voltage fully depressed and fully pressed to see if you are within the ECU's ranges.

I do not think you will have to mod the bracket and it should just be a direct swap.
