Default SSR Re-release Group Buy!!!

Hey guys,

Yes that's right,

The newly acquired newly setup Speed Star Japan is taking orders! We are opening a group buy for these wheels - the lead time is from 4-8 weeks for these wheels (depending on style, color, etc.) and a 50% deposit is required. Prices are already at rock bottom (we're practically giving them away) just to get the SSR momentum going again.

Note on 05+ STi Fitment: For some ridiculous reason, SSR doesn't offer the Type C and CS in 05+ STioffsets yet (although they used to and we were previously told by them that they currently do). We have talked to SSR of Japan to reconfirm that they do not offer these fitments currently so I apologize for the misinformation that was given to you earlier. The SP1 are offered in 05+ STi offsets.

5X100 (02+ WRX / 04 STI) FITMENT ONLY:

SSR TYPE CS (New!) - 2 piece hybrid construction - Available Bronze or Gunmetal

18x8.5 +48, 5x100 - $1999 Shipped!!!
17X8.5 +48, 5x100 - $1675 Shipped!!!

SSR TYPE C Available Bronze or Gunmetal

18x8.5 +48, 5x100 - $1849 Shipped!!!
17X8.5 +48, 5x100 - $1525 Shipped!!!

5X100 AND 5X114.3 (02+ WRX / 04+ STI) FITMENT:

SSR PROFFESSOR Available Silver, Black, SBC, Super White

18x8.5 +47, 5x100 AND 5X114.3 - $1849 Shipped!!!
17X8.0 +49, 5x100 AND 5X114.3 - $1525 Shipped!!!

DEPOSIT IS 50% Leadtime is 4-8 weeks depending on availability from SSR Japan. Airfreight is available at an additional $350+ USD per a set.

Please contact us for ordering and availability. Thanks!!

How dare you entice me to spend more money on wheels.

Dumb question time, what color is SBC? I'll try and look it up in the meantime.

Thank you.

EDIT: Found the color, I'll have to wait to see what my tax return is.

Any chance of an 05+ STi fitment group buy? Or even just a buy?

i was looking at their japan website, and only thing i saw on it for now was evo offsets in the 5x114.3. i really hope they don't do that.

http://www.rd-tanabe.com/ssr/

edit: i take that back, looks like highest offset on that website was +41 for 17x8 and up in the type cs for 5x114.3

Ok, Tanabe's site is a bit messed up right now. If you look at the sizing chart, the Subaru fitments aren't even on it. The only way to see them is to pull up the Subaru menu but then they don't have any 5X114.3 fitments. I'm sure that these exist but that they haven't been integrated into the site yet so I'm sure that we can get these wheels for 05+ fitments.

offset
about 17 lbs for the 18 and 16.5 lbs for 17.

I'm not sure but I would guess in the neighborhood of 18-19lbs since it's a 3 piece wheel.

Geoff,

Are the Type C the equivalent to the Competitions? If so, will they definitely be offered in the 05' fitment and offset? I know you said they probably will but can you make sure before I put my deposit down? I also want to know the weight of the Type C as well. Saw the weight for the CS's

If I go though with this I'll be ordering the gunmetal Type C.

Thanks

Will is correct. The Type C is the JDM Comp. They are offered in 05 fitment and we can get them in 05 fitment. I'm not 100% on the offset but I'm guessing +52. Tanabe has yet to update the site with 05 fitment but we got these wheels in 05 fitment even before SSR went bankrupt. The Type C is slightly lighter than the Type CS because the spokes are thicker on the CS (it's a stronger wheel). The Type C is under 17lbs for 18X8.5 and close to 16lbs for for 17X8.5.

We're taking deposits now. The sooner we get the deposits, the sooner we can get you the wheels.

I don't have a weight for the 18X8.5 but the 18X9.5 weighs 17.6 pounds so I expect the 18X8.5 to weigh 17.1 pounds. The price of lugnuts depends on the type. They can vary from $40-$200. What type are you looking for?
