Default Ej206 swappers with td05 please look

when are you guys getting max boost? how hard is it pulling also? my V2 STi 555 has a td05 but seems to spool up super late. doesn't seem to pull very hard when it reaches full boost either. i've never rode in another swapped car so i'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to feel like but from what i've read i'm guessing mine isn't running to it's greatest power right now.

i think max boost for me is 14.8 or something right around there. you can't really feel the power from the turbo until maybe 4500-5000rpms though. as the gauge goes up it just doesn't seem like a ton of power. what do your swaps feel like? maybe everything is fine i just don't know what it's supposed to feel like driving it.people say the td05 lags a little but when it kicks in it's a "slam in your seat" feeling. but i don't get that feeling at all.

i bet you're leaking boost somewhere. i'd check all you connections. is the turbo making a ton of noise, like it's spooling it's brains out, but not alot of effect? boost leaks will spool up until the leak can't flow any more air, and then put 14.8 psi into your motor, while stll blowing out the leak. makes for very late boost.

it sounds pretty loud when it's spooling. but thats mostly when it's right after the car is started. whats the best way to check for a boost leak?
