Default which ecu/harness

I hate being new on forums...i have over 3000 posts on the mazda forum im a member of, im not new to these, im just looking for an answer. What ecu can/should i use with a 94-95 JDM ej20t engine? will the ecu and harness from a 2002+ usdm wrx? i just need to know the differenct between this jdm engine, and the 2002 wrx engine im going to buy. The jdm ones cheaper but if it doesnt work with all the 02 wrx wiring...obviously that wouldnt be a good buy.

94-95 ecu +harness its also important to note that subaru only has 1 harness every thing under the dash is wrapped together be sure to get the WHOLE deal

some random facts about the ej20
has been in production since 1989

major revisions
ej20G (legacyGT(vf-10) legacy RS(vf-12) impreza mt(td05) impreza auto(upturned inlet td04)
ej20G (sti version, sti ver 2 late sti ver2[5 injectors])
ej20G (late version different ecu and wasted spark coil (td04 inline inlet))
ej20h twin turbo mechanically similar long block to ej20g same injectors known for valley of death in between turbos, turbo manifold/vacuum solenoid box fouls on steering colum in LHD car
ej20k sti 3 and 4 vf-22 vf-23
ej205 (jdm early, jdm late (avcs), usdm)
ej20R bp/bl chassis throttle by wire
ej207 early ver 5&ver 6 late ver 7+ (avcs)

if you have to pass smog inspection at all the usdm ej20 ecu is the way to go and has significant support in the usdm aftermarket

if you are adventurous and want to pass obd2, you could fit a entire usdm wrx wiring harness on a ej20G motor. youd have to have EVERYTHING though, full engine/bulkhead/ecu/rear etc.

work also required.

you'll have a tough time finding a ej20g wiring harness. thats why i stash them away for spare
