Im sure Im not the only one who wants to know this stuff and Id like to have atleast a guess of what I plan on getting into.
I already saw your page on getting off the Drivers door panel. Anything differnet about the other 3? Getting the outside handles off? Removing all 3 grille sections? Removing the Subaru emblem off the rear hatch. And last how do I finally get Fox Collision in Kansas City to do a decent job on my repairs. Those losers were supposed to fix damage incurred in a parking lot (lame ass in a Ford side swiped it and knocked the passenger wheel back about 3/4". Had to replace the rear crossmember, 3 control arms and the hub) and fix body damage. ![]() Also..should I worry that Fox collision/Progressive wants to replace just 1 tire? There is a 3/32 difference. The dealership says thats a problem. Is it?

im not peaty so i cant help you with the tribeca specific questions, but i can tell you YES the tire being different will be bad, ruined diff bad. at the least they need to replace the pair, its a side effect of AWD. if they still give you grief its in your owners manual, show them and agree to 1 tire if they sign an agreement to replace the diff when it goes. so in other words they owe you more than 1 tire.

All I can say it, slim-pickins'
![]() I already saw your page on getting off the Drivers door panel. Anything differnet about the other 3? Should be the same for the most part. I think my scan showed the rear doors too. Getting the outside handles off? Removing all 3 grille sections? Removing the Subaru emblem off the rear hatch. These I have not looked into. I did just do the fog and headlamp bulbs. In that process I did take a few things apart. I took a quick look at taking the grill off when I attempted to remove the headlamp. I didn't spend a lot of time trying but it was not obvious. It looked like the front bumper skin needed to be removed. I'm not positive about that though. I took the plastic part off that is between the front of the grill and the front of the motor. That is just held in place with the plastic molly style deals. When I had that off I could easly see behind the grill. ![]() I haven't had any dealings with those guys, you might want to ask here: http://www.kcsubaru.com/ someone might know. Also..should I worry that Fox collision/Progressive wants to replace just 1 tire? There is a 3/32 difference. The dealership says thats a problem. Is it? Yes have a look here for what subaru says about that: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3433 There is a light on the dash that is supposed to come on "AWD" if there is a problem with the wheel size. That should be in the owners manual. I would not rely on that though, I'd go by a tire measurement if it were me. |
