Default New Work Emotion XT7 and XD9 Introduction Group Buy!!!!

Work has just released their latest wheels in the Emotion Series in Japan, and we are proud to offer this group buy as an introductory special!!

First up is the XT7. For the Subaru, the following sizes are offered:

1993-2001: Impreza/2.5 RS/WRX 17x7 +47, 18x7.5 +48

2002-2006 Impreza/2.5 RS WRX and 2002-2004 STi: 17x8 +47, 18x8.5 +46

2005-2006 STi (5-114.3 bolt pattern): 17x8 +47, 18x8.5 +46

2005-2006 Legacy GT Turbo: 17x7 +47, 18x7.5 +48

Weights are very similar to the CR Kai - ranging from about 18 lbs for the 17's to 21.5 lbs for the 18's. Of course the claim to fame of the Emotion series has never been weight, but sheer strength - these wheels are, without a doubt, the strongest cast series wheel I have ever experienced (I'll share a story later!)

Colors: standard colors are matte bronze and matte grey silver (a shade lighter than gunmetal). Optional colors include buffed silver (a high polished silver). In addition, powdercoating is available in satin black, silver, red, white for an additional charge

Emotion XD-9: For the Subaru's, the following sizes are offered:

1993-2006 2.5 RS/Impreza/WRX: 17x7.5 +50
2002-2006 2.5 RS/Impreza/WRX and 2002-2004 STi - 18x8 +45
2005-2006 STi (5x114.3 bolt pattern) - 18x8 +45

Colors: standard colors are also matte bronze and matte grey silver. Optional colors include buffed silver (a high polished silver). In addition, powdercoating is available in satin black, silver, red, white for an additional charge

Please note the above are NOT actual Subaru sizes...but they are the only pictures I have as of right now. I hope to have some more pictures available over the weekend , as I am waiting on Work Japan to forward me some.

And YES...there are center caps now offered. No, I don't yet know if they will fit the CR Kai...when I know, I'll post that info.

We'll get pricing posted later on today. No, we will not be offering tire packages except for local pickup, as it simply gets too cumbersome and expensive to start shipping wheel/tire combos all over the place. Yes we will be offering packages with lugs as well for those interested (either Work's lightweight duralumin lugs or the black/silver Gorilla Spline Drive's we use)

Any questions, let us know! I will work on the other details I know everyone wants to know about as well!

Is that a typo in the XD-9 fitments? "2002-2006 WRX and 2005-2006 STi - 18x8 +45" I am going to assume this should be 02-04 STi meaning 5x100 and clears brembo's?

I'd love a set in Black.....what's the pricing gonig to be?

Good prices. Any chance of getting a picture of the actual wheel in the correct (or close) offset on the XD-9? They could look like a whole different wheel in the correct offset for a Subaru.

Thanks

Please excuse my ignorance, but what does powdercoating in silver look like? Is the texture different? Is it a flat or shiny finish? And is it a lighter colour than the standard matte grey silver?

CGM - we are working on it, and will post as soon as we have some. The XD 9 actually will not look dramatically different at all - will still have a recessed spoke from the lip. The more dramatic difference will be with the XT7, which gains lots of concavity as width increases and offset decreses. The Subaru ones will have much "flatter" spokes by comparison.

Picard - I'll post a pic of the silver hopefully tomorrow. It is a glossy finish that is lighter than the matte grey. More of a traditional silver painted look.
