Default Alky Injection question

Would there be benefits to running alky injection on the TD04 turbo? Or do people most generally run alky on bigger than stock turbos. Thank you for your help.

most ppl run alky on bigger turbos, but if you looked into what alky injection does then you would find out that it has benifits on any motor.
I acually plan on using alky injection (and a bunch of othr stuff) on the stocker, and i also plan on blowing it. I would say if you use alky on the stockr with all the other common stuff you will blow it

using pre-compressor WI, you would probably save your turbo from blowing. also, standard post-compressor WI will not blow your turbo... running your turbo off the right side of its compressor map will. raising the boost is only one way to make power when running WI.

I seen some pics of hacked up compressor blades from pre-comp WI. But if done properly it seems worth-while. Check this thread out:

i've been running alky injetion for about a year now and have not had any blowing up problems at all , it helped bring down my idc's and let me raise the boost to 19-21 psi on the tdo4 and not have any issuses doing so, granted i'm running the utec with it and i recommend that if your going to use alky or wi you have to have some sort of em to be able to get the maximum effect from it, and it really helps out in a state that only has 90 oct at the pump. so to answer your ? yes it can help even with the td04 turbo but i wouldn't recommend going any bigger than a #7 nozzle if you do so.

yep, i'm familiar with that thread; i've read through much of it more than once pre-compressor WI definitely needs to be setup correctly, and it shouldn't be attempted by someone without considering the risks...

that said, i think the stock turbo would be perfect for pre-compressor WI; small enough to benefit from the increased efficiency and cheap enough to be replaced easily if something bad happens to it.
