Default any cobb 2.5 guys get a pdx custom OTS map yet?

just wondering if there are any cobb 2.5 guys who have gotten a custom accessport OTS map yet from PDX tuning and what their impressions are over cobb's base maps. what maps are you getting from PDX for the $150 they are charging on their website?

I would like to see the feed back on this too, im looking to get a pdx map in the next few weeks. When I called them they were very helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about. I would also like to know if anyone has any before and after hp #s based on the ots cobb maps and the pdx maps.

wouldnt wate your time get a full tune

those are just slightly more aggressive OTS tunes

for 300$ you can have one ESPECIALLY for your car and some purdy charts to floss.

it would be nice, but some of us can't get to a tuner without making a really long road trip.

Jon @ TDC tuning does e-tunes - he basically sends you a map, and you run the data logger, and send the data to him, and then he tweaks the map based on your log, and emails you back your map. www.tdctuning.com

Try one of his e-tunes FTW!

I need to live where you live. The only Protuner within a 7 hour radius of me charges $500.

Is it Gruppe-s charging the $500? Contact jsmonet via PM on here, I think he mentioned Gruppe-s does tuning there, but I don't know the price. Or go the route of my advice above - Jon at tdctuning.com can do it for $150 via emailing of maps & data logging - PM Tdc Tuning (nasioc vendor) for more info on his procedure.

Haha naw, it's not Gruppe-S. That's in NorCal, where I hear they have much more competitive rates.

The TDC e-tune does look very appealing. Thanks for the tip! I had been considering getting a PDX OTS Stage 2 map, but I really like the sound of a custom trial map-based tune better. I'll probably be contacting Jon once I gut my UP and change my Y-pipe.

So anybody with an AP and a laptop/datalogger can get the Remote ProTune "e-Tune"? Or is the StreetTuner software required?

A Tdc E tune from Jon is worth it. On the Cobb ots map (wrx vf34 93 oct) my car was fast but it seemed to have too much lag for a vf34. I added a sti tmic and the lag got even worse. My Dad told me about Jon's E tunes which he got for his Legacy gt, so I went for it. Jon's map pulls like crazy and is very smooth, spool up is almost the same as the stock turbo and top end is much improved over the ots map. If there are no tuners close to you I think this is the way to go.

yes, how do you run the data logger? TDC seems to be one step ahead of competition by offering this service. Wonder if PDX also offers data logger.

there's a free datalogger app called ECUExplorer...I don't recall the link to download but search this forum for it...there was a thread about it recently.

All you need is a laptop and an AP + cable

With PDX you get the Maps via email. Then you run a log using the TARI software, after this you send the log back and they fix any problems that they see.

Just installed TARI software. How do you go about logging the data?
