Default Team AutoX competition

Guys,
A club I'm in is trying to start up a Team AutoX competiton this year and we were wondering if you all would be interested? It would be a team of 4 drivers per event (ie it can be a different 4 each event), there are 12 events and only the top 10 are scored. There would be no cost to enter the competition (yea, its FREE), the only cost would be the cost for each event. The prize for the winning team are some tires. So are you all interested? I would need some one to be a team lead, that submits all the paperwork and junk. Anyone want to volunteer? I'm writing the formals this week and hope to have it all finalized ASAP.

Sorry this is so cryptic, but this is still in the making so I'll be leaking more info later.

Are you looking for people for your team, or looking for teams to sign up?

12 events is a lot, esp considering that there's only 8 "real" Fedex events (plus a Pro) and some of the local events (CDC) don't use SCCA classes.

But hey, free is nice...

Is this for Capital Driving Club? If so, I'm probably doing it w/ James at Andrewtech.

Dont you all still have a wagon? lol

Either way, this competition will be held at several clubs events (CDC, AI, SCCA, BMW, etc). There may be 12 events, but anyone can drive. the team can change from event to event, so its more flexable.

Right now I'm looking for teams, we know who we want to invite but i need contact info for the people that want to be responcible for the teams.

Its going to be held from (this is tenative schedule) april to september.

What organization is running the events and where do you plan to have them?

Who's organizing the team part of it, though? It's not that slide rule cup thing is it?

No, www.crossroadracing.com would host the "team" part of it. we would take care of all the scoring, all competators have to do is fill out paperwork and drive.

Correct me if I'm wrong .... you're basically going to say, "All you guys need to go race these events by SCCA, et all and we'll look up the results and we'll tally the scores?"

I can field some questions as well since I'm another one of the Crossroad organizers. Our original concept over lunch one day was to come up a "team competition" within the local autocross community. Previously the only team environment was the now defunct DC Autocross Council series. Basically we're doing something similar and we're opening up the ability to enter a "team" to pretty much any organization/forum/club/etc. All you need is someone to manage things and a handful of drivers.

Spazegun contacted each of the organizations via email today letting them know what our intentions are and that basically it will be transparent to them and won't create any extra work. The DC SCCA replied right away and said they were on board, we hope to get similar results from the other orgs.

We'd love to see a MAIC team out there this year. I'm not sure what I'll be driving yet, could be the Saabaru, could be something else. Either way, look forward to seeing you guys.

I'll run in your team(s) if you'll have me. I signed up for SCCA (WDCR) and the CDC events. I can make 85% of the events (depending on work when I'm on-call).

Although I most likely will drive the Miata (STS2 class), what the heck do you have against wagons?!!! My wagon is stage 4, you bastard!

If I can drive someone's car, and they want me on their team, I'm in.
